There have been plenty of studies that show camping to be a benefit to your health. If you’re a regular camper you probably don’t need a study to tell you that. You know by how you feel after a few days of camping.
For those who have never been camping or who may not have camped in several years, we’d like to highlight the good stuff that comes your way when you’re camping.
Quiet Your Mind
We can lose sight of how much work our brain must do everyday. We are bombarded with people, noise, and to-do lists. Life can become a never-ending loop of work that must be done.
Camping helps to quiet your mind. You can relax in a chair and just watch the world go by without anyone wondering what you are doing – or why you’re doing it. Relaxing is a normal activity in the campground. So is reading, swimming, playing, and spending time with friends and family.
Get Some Exercise
You can skip the gym and get your exercise by hiking the trails, playing tag with the kids, swimming in the pool, or walking the dog around the campground. It’s easy to do and you’ll be surprised how far you walk in a day without even noticing it.
It’s time to tell those old jokes, play pranks on your brother-in-law, share stories from high school, and make a little fun of your own failed camping attempts. It’s all in good fun and fun is one of the most beneficial aspects of camping.
You’ll be less saturated by florescent light, text messages, and phone calls. You might even be able to read a novel without interruption. You’ll be moving your body and breathing fresh air. All of that will combine to give you the best sleep of your life. Bring a favorite pillow and some comfy pjs. Then sleep tight and sweet dreams. We look forward to seeing you enjoy camping in our park.
